Golf Day success at superb new venue

Next year's golf day to be staged at East Sussex

The S. Lucas Golf Day has become one of the highlights of the early autumn and this year, the twelfth, proved to be even more memorable than usual. For the first time, the event was staged at the East Sussex National Course with overnight accommodation at the newly-opened four star hotel. Both the course and the hotel were outstandingly good and much appreciated by the 40 competitors, who played in 10 teams of four. The winner was Peter Lippard from Bovis Lend Lease, who holds the trophy until the 2007 event.
