Building LIMA 23 (Heathrow Airport)

Lucas Fit Out has been working at Heathrow Airport on several significant projects. One of our most comprehensive has been a 20-week programme to completely rebuild, decorate and fit out a former airside baggage storage building at Terminal 3 and turn it into a secure holding and repatriation facility operated by the UK Borders Agency. Our team constructed lightweight structural steel framed walls and ceilings and used fermacell board cladding for the walls to provide a heavy duty decoration surface. We carried out a complete decoration and fit out programme including shower and toilet facilities. We have developed a facility with both male and female holding rooms and for the family room our decorators even produced bespoke artwork for the walls to help create a calm and friendly atmosphere.
